What Would the World be Like without Math?
Today in class, we started a new unit on fractions and factorization. We talked about some big questions that we will be thinking about. One of those questions is: "What Would the World be Like without Math?" Please leave a comment to this post as an answer to that question. Write at least one example of something that would be different if math was never invented. Think about this question as you go about your normal everyday activities. How would they change without math? Be creative!

There would be no world without math.
There would be no clothes without math.
The world wouldn't have any type of technology because there wouldn't be any math to make anything. Because you need all different types of Math to make all different types of things.
hey its emily p...the world wouldn't exist without math because the earth is a sphere and that is a shape that has to do with geometry. It wouldn't even be flat because that would be a plane. There wouldn't be any big sports either because of the shapes of the items used. Just about everything has to do with math so...there wouldn't be anything!

There would be no anything. We could really not live with out math because
math holds our houses up, schools, stores. It also has all the shapes, angles and other stuff. Lastly we could not cut stuff and do other things without math.
The world would not be a circle.
The would be no clothes.
We would not no how to cook.
We would not no how to make lacrosse sticks.
There would not be footballs.
We would be able to make clothes.
Hey Mrs.c! Did you know that there would really be no world without math... It would always be complicated because you wouldnt know what you were talking about. For example, there would not be any buildings because you would need to know how long things would need to be

If the world had no math than we wouldnt have buildings or any sports, because for buildings youd need to know how many sq feet and length and width. and for sports youd wouldnt have a ball or a court because youd have to use geometry and youd need math for geometry.Thats why we wouldnt probably be able to live without math.
There would be no Earth because it is round and a circle is a shape. But then if you flattened it then it would be a plane which is also a shape. There would also be no food or cooking pans because the pans are round and rectangular and when you put the food mix in or something then bake it it will come out in the shapes that you bake the food in and then all food are shapes...........:)

There is so much math in the world, that if someone didn't invent math, we probably wouldn't exist, or at least we'd be much more primitive than we are now. If there was no math in the world, we wouldn't have such advanced transportation that we have now. There would be no such thing as money, and since almost every job on earth requires some sort of math, people wouldn't have many different occupations. Also, there wouldn't be robots. Ha-Ha!
If we did not have math in the world we wouldn't be able to do anything but sit and look at the wall.if there was no math the whole world would not be existing right now because the earth has to do with shapes.
if there was no math we wouldn't exist because we are a irregular shape. you wouldn't be able to play any sports cause of the ball or the stick and the shape of the field.
There wouldn't be any computers because they are made out of numbers and stuff like that. There also wouldn't be any video games because it takes a lot of mathamatics to make games.
The sides of building wouldn't even because there wouldn't be measurments. The building would lean and wouldn't be supported as well, as if they were even.

Heeey Mrs.Connair!!! You want to know what the world would be like without math? Well it would be EMPTY. Yes empty there would be nothing there because there are no shapes, sides, or angles. there would be no food, clothing, paper, etc. so that is what I saty thre worrld would be like without math.

We wouldn't have video games or technology.
We would have no clothes, no technology, no sports like baseball, we would not be able to cook (no pizza!) :(, no video games and many more things! No where to live! We would miss out on alot of things and our world would be very dull! We also wouldn't have board games no dice! No Nothing!!!! Everything would be irregular... NOT GOOD! :)
The world would have nothing if there was no math there wouldnt even be EARTH!!! I be nothing no air/ atmosphere because there are diffrent percentages of things to make air like oxygen and more. It would be nothing there would be no life NO WORLD !!!! no people!! No food bacause of measuring and fractions so we would die!!
Without math there would be almost nothing. There would be no money(or to know how much to pay if there was), no technology, no houses that would would look right(because we need measurments) and nothing that people really want, have or need. That is practically what the world would be like without math.
Hey Mrs. C! What's up? Have you done the lucky number thing i told you about? It's wierd to think that you're right downstairs, I'm in my moms room using her computer. (Did you know that she works here with Tracy Bennett??) Anyway, I probably should answer your question! Life would be boring if math wasn't discovered because there would be no domesticated horses! To domesticate a horse, you must have a halter. To make a halter you must use math. You have to size it and average different horses head sizes to make it the right size. There would be no horse riding too. To train a horse, you use a lunging rope to to exercise him around in a circle. This is to train the horse to obey, to halt and to respond to soft but firm voice commands. So, you measure the rope so the horse doesn't get dizzy if it's too short . If it's too long however, as you can imagine the horse would not listen.

Hey its Harrison,without math the earth wouldnt even exist because its a sphere and there would be no geometry.and we wouldnt have the technonlogy we have. Today and in the world most everything has to do with math so we wouldnt have most of the luxurys we have today, like houses you need math so the house is even for it not to collapse there would also be no cars because you need the wheels to make it move and there would no such thing as geometry or pie.

I mean Basketball is my favroite sport no numbers on your jerseys,no score clock,no plays to make! If we had no math, there would be no sports because we couldn't keep score. Everything would be uneaven, we would not live in well constructed houses. Also, there would be no food because we couldn't measure anything.

Hey its Ashlyn!!!If the worldn't have math there wouldn't have and technology ,and there wouldn't have cars because of the demintions.We wouldn't have tv's or cloths because oyu will not have the righ amount of mesure to make them.there willl be no factories because factoires make a lot of are stuff. the world with out math would be a big thing because nothin would be in the right order and you have compilcation with everything.

Without math, there would be no sports! We wouldn't be able to measure angles and distance, so passing in basketball or pitching in baseball would be impossible.
It's not possible for there to be a world without math, because the Homo Sapiens were some of the very first human beings, and they became smarter over time. Without a doubt, math HAS to be discovered. As the first humans brains get bigger (and they get smarter) they begin to discover more stuff. So it is impossible to not have discovered math. BECAUSE IT IS EVERYWHERE! -that is my arguement
People would still think it is flat because how would people make boats to travel? The world would have no homes or stores.

Hi, it's Maddy! The world would not be there because it is a sphere. There would also not be a lot of stuff we use around. Like computers or radios. we would not have houses or sports or even simple things like getting food. The world would not be here if it was not for math.
All our furniture, buildings and clothes wouldn't have even edges. The buildings would collapse because we wouldn't know how the walls fit together. We would have no electronics which means we couldn't have machine-made foods. We also couldn't have competition because we couldn't keep track of scores. We wouldn't be able to play board games because we wouldn't know how many spaces to move. I wouldn't be able to know what time it is right now or what today is without math. Nobody would know that a full day is 24 hours either.
If there were no math in the world ther would be no elec tricity or transportation ( like cars, boats, planes, etc., etc.) because you have to use math to make those things, and if there was no math then people would'nt now how to make electricity or planes, or any tipe of transportatoin

hey its Delaney! if we didnt have math there wouldnt be houses because you need geometry and measurments. and also we wouldnt have sports, for example soccer youd need a soccer ball and thats a circle and thats a shape. And you cant forget that we wouldnt have money because youd need to know how to add and subtract and all that. And what each thing would equal out to, so like what a dollar might equal. Thats what the world would be like without math/geometry.
If there was no math on earth i believe that there wouldn't be any earth at all. WE wouldn't have any food,clothes,technology, or anything. If there was no math no one would have any jobs or cars. We would have no source of education any buildings or any transportation. No swimming pools, I believe life and earth would be like with no math on Earth.
